A quick news update on the casting of X-Men: Apocalypse has arrived from director Bryan Singer. It was announced by the director on Twitter that Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) will be playing Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan (Joe, Mud) will take up the role of Cyclops and Alexandra Shipp (House of Anubis) will finish the new additions in the part of Storm. Though I have no particular thoughts as to Shipp and Sheridan, I was personally rooting for Sophie Turner to take the part of Jean Grey as soon as news came out she was a possibility so it’s great to see Bryan Singer agreeing with my choice.
